A dynamic speaker and tireless promoter of social justice and racial equity, Ron brings nearly 40 years of ministry experience to his pastoral role at First United Methodist Church Garland.

Ron previously served as  Director of Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the former North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church. He also spent eight years as a District Superintendent, and served pastoral appointments at Custer Road UMC Plano and Hamilton Park UMC Dallas.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Divinity from Gammon Theological Seminary in Atlanta, and a Doctor of Ministry from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
